One Great Fellowship of Love

Farewell, dear friend,

our ways must part,

each goes as Christ has led;

the long ascent of Zion's mount

has many paths to tread.

Yet henceforth

love and brotherhood

unite us in our ways:

one in the faith,

one in the Lord,

who sets our hearts ablaze.

We, pilgrims all,

are passing through;

we pant for God's domain;

farewells are never permanent,

the faring well is God's intent,

the course is ever heaven-bent,

and we will meet again.
